Founded in 1998 and now being one of the leaders in the production of high-quality meat products in Russia, “Optimum” Ltd. (brand “EKOL”) was the first company to receive the certificate of the Council of Muftis of Russia, confirming that all products and methods of their production comply with the “Halal” principles.
We pay great attention to the veterinary control of supplied livestock, laboratory analysis and compliance with all hygiene requirements throughout the meat production process.
The secret of the company’s success is unique packaging technologies, which allow us to supply exclusively fresh meat to the counters. We crucially refused to use the freezing, but improved the properties of vacuum packaging, what increased the shelf life of fresh meat. The green color of the trays emphasizes environmental friendliness and high quality of our meat semi-finished products, while distinguishing them from the rest of similar products.
In 2012, a line of new unique products was launched: halal salamis and sausages of premium class, as well as meat delicacies made according to old Russian and Turkish recipes.
For exporting its products to GCC member countries, the company received Halal Certificate from “GulfTIC – ICSC Halal”, accredited by GAC (GCC Accreditation Centre, Saudi Arabia) and approved by ESMA (Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology, UAE) in collaboration with Russia Muftis Council.
The company provides its products under the brand name “EKOL” since 2002. Due to the high recognition level and wide-spread distribution network, EKOL established itself as one of the most successful brands in Russian Federation.
To comply with the quality requirements, production is operated and controlled in accordance with Food Safety Systems (ISO 2200) and HACCP Standards.
